BOCOG launched its marketing development on September 1, 2003. In the past four years, the marketing work has progressed smoothly. In July 2007, the sponsor program for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games was completed. The number of sponsors for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games has reached 64, including the global partners of the IOC. In addition, the recruitment of global partners for torch relay is also finished. Coco-cola, Samsung and Lenovo have joined the plan.With the approach of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the purchase of Olympic licensed products has risen. By November 2007, there were more than 5,000 Olympic licensed products and nearly a thousand licensed retail stores. The "Olympic Merchandise online store" ,authorized by BOCOG, officially opened on July 30, 2007. A formal Olympic merchandise online sales platform was built.
