Qingdao Airport still busy in winter

Qingdao Liuting International Airport is still busy in low season: 980 scheduled flights take off every week, a 16% increase compared to last year.From October 28th, 2007, Qingdao Liuting International Airport started using its winter and spring scheduled flight plan, which corresponds to the low business season.Qingdao International Airport works hard to develop international airlines for which Qingdao is an intermediate hub. "Making use of our geographic advantage, we are developing Qingdao as a hub between Japan, Korea and China," said chairman of board of Qingdao Liuting International Airport Group.While China's major airlines have always taken Qingdao quite seriously, many new middle and small-scale airline companies are now also turning to Qingdao in search of new business opportunities. Many new airlines have recently opened in Liuting Airport: among them one southwest to northeast line linking Chongqing, Qingdao and Shenyang run by "West Airlines".Therefore, although it's the low season, Qingdao Airport is still on full throttle.
