HK university promotes Olympic Spirit

Hong Kong Baptist University is making a number of efforts to promote the Olympic Spirit ahead of the Beijing Olympic Games, chinanews.com.cn quoted from the HK Wen Hui Daily on Wednesday.Hong Kong's first Olympic information database was established by the university in March, and about 70 Olympic sports emcees will be trained in the university's sports department at the invitation of the city's leading TV channel TVB.In addition, over 60 undergraduates from Hong Kong Baptist University majoring in film and television as well as translation have enrolled for a specialized training by the host broadcaster -- Beijing Olympic Broadcasting Co., Ltd (BOB).Some of the excellent trainees are expected to become the only lucky ones of HK's universities to participate in photo shooting, broadcasting, and technical support as well as translating during the Equestrian competition to be held in the city during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
